Something about this time of the year brings out the guys. For the second time in a week, we’re hosting a men’s retreat this weekend, and I pledge to feed them well. Groups like these are the most adventurous eaters, willing to try everything and thank you afterward.

Really, there’s nothing left to say but show off the menu. Not bad for a place that charges $5 for breakfast, $6 for lunch and $8 for dinner.

Corn with crushed black pepper and oregano
Chips and salsa
Strawberry and blueberry pie

SATURDAY DINNER
Pasta Sacandaga
(Rigatoni, sausage, spinach, roasted red bell peppers, tomatoes, Parmesan)
Sesame sugar-snap peas
Rulison honey-glazed carrots
Homemade focaccia
Spinach salad with bacon and egg
Apple crisp

THIS WEEKEND

FRIDAY DINNER
Assorted pizzas
Buffalo and barbecue wings
Caesar salad
Peanut butter cupcakes

SATURDAY BREAKFAST
Scrambled eggs
Corned beef hash browns
Bagels with cream cheese and jelly
Apple-raisin oatmeal
Chocolate croissants
Apples and orange

SATURDAY LUNCH
Pork chili
Cilantro-lime rice
Corn with cracked pepper and oregano
Chips, salsa, cheese and sour cream
Pudding parfaits
