The last two years, Julie and I have auctioned ourselves off at Sac’s annual dinner auction in November. Win the bid, and you get the two of us for a night to cook dinner and clean up afterward. We actually have made ourselves available to anybody at the auction who wants it, based on the high bid price, which works out to about $50 a person.
So it was a real treat a week ago as one of the winning families cashed in, allowing us to spend a day cooking, then feeding their family and friends in their home. This couple has always been supportive of not only the ministry but also us, personally, and this is the least we could do for them.
