Even food companies obsess about celebs

I know the celebrity-chef culture has taken over part of the cooking world. Now, I see it’s taken over a major food purveyor’s world, too.

Consider these status updates from the last four days from U.S. Foods, which I believe is the second-largest nationwide foodservice provider:

Memo to U.S. Foods: Some of us have found other ways to enhance how we do our jobs without using Gordon Ramsay and Alton Brown.

    US Foods can’t write. You enhance how you do your job by making the rest of us have mouths that water every time you mention things like, crispy chicken, Patriot pickles, cream sauces that marry cheddar cheese or something like that … I have delicious pictures in my head that won’t go away.
